Artist Statement
I am drawn to the edge where the land slips crashing to the ocean. I love the chaos of the coastline, the mess of rocks and soil, the broken torn edges that are re-arranged twice daily. This is a place where few people go but a lot happens, unobserved, the continuous dialogue between weather, water and rock, land, sea and sky.
Working here I immerse myself into the spirit of this unique landscape. My isolation, the physical and practical struggle to just paint is invigorating, extreme and compelling.
